In March I ran a little Facebook competition for a family minishoot. I randomly selected 3 winners! One of them was Linda from Gateshead, who decided on Slayley Hall as her venue and a date in April was set.
Linda bought her children and grandchildren to the shoot and so there was potential for lots of diverse shot and groups. I got the sense that the middle generation were a little sceptical and definitely photo shy, so a gauntlet was laid down to help them relax in front of the lens. When there are kids involved this generally isn't hard as children provide us with lots of laughs and giggles!
I thoroughly enjoyed capturing Linda's family and creating a image legacy suspended in time. In the end everyone was relaxed in front of the camera. The weather held, the boys had a good run around, and Linda was very happy with her photographs for framing and her family album.
