Tuscany….You stole my heart.
Ever since I saw the film “Room with a View” Tuscany has been on my list of places to visit. And I had the absolute pleasure in being Jack and Beth’s Tuscany Wedding Photographer back in September 2019.
Beth and Jack’s wedding was a joy to be at. Certainly it was easy to see why they had chosen Tuscany as the destination for their wedding. Warm sunshine was a prerequisite for an outdoor ceremony, and the rolling hills of the region were a perfect backdrop for their celebrations. Their wedding was spread over two days, to incorporate the intimate legal ceremony in the medieval hilltop village of Certaldo on the Friday, before a wonderful festival of celebrations at an olive grove on the Saturday, with many of their family and friends attending.
Initially Beth and Jack felt that the legal ceremony was literally a paper signing exercise. However we were all blown away by how emotionally charged it was. With just their parents as witnesses, the love between the families spilled over making it far more significant and poignant than Beth and Jack had anticipated.
Friends and relations started to gathered the following day at the vineyard and olive farm Tenuti di Sticcano for the wedding ceremony and celebrations. Beth and Jack’s vision of their ceremony was beautiful in every detail, with pampas grass and olive branch decor complimenting the sun-bleached surroundings of the vineyard.
The most wonderful thing was that I didn’t feel like a Tuscany wedding photographer, I felt like part of the family!
