Tiny Weddings

THIS IS FOR YOU IF YOU ARE PLANNING A VENUE BASED WEDDING JUST FOR THE TWO OF YOU.

Many couples are choosing the simplicity of a wedding which only involves themselves. There a plentiful venues in beautiful locations in the UK that offer a small wedding package, and a witness service so that you can be legally wed.

You still want photographs right?

But you don’t need a photographer to be with you for long!

I hear you. In fact it would be weird for a photographer to be third wheeling all day, when really you just want to revel in each others company and newly married bliss. All the distractions of a big wedding were definitely what you were wanting to avoid.

Wedding photographers pack out a full day when there are many guests, a list of family groups to photograph, and lots of details of the entertainment and reception styling. But a JUST FOR TWO wedding doesn’t have all that so you don’t need full or even half day coverage.

Perfecting your Just for Two Wedding Timeline for Photography

Having shot a gazillion weddings, and a fair few mini weddings, one thing is for certain. Each and every one is unique. It’s all the individual people, and of course THE COUPLE THAT FUELS THE CREATIVITY behind the photography. Underpinning each one is a WEDDING DAY TIMELINE or schedule, which the couple creates in collaboration with the venue, or by working with a wedding day planner. From the photographer’s perspective, it is amazing to work with the couple also, to ensure the photography feels seamless, and organic, allowing the me, (and videographer), to truly capture each amazing moment and feeling.

When planning your mini wedding timeline, it is amazing to give all the parts of the day breathing space. That way the good stuff that you didn’t know would happen, gets a chance to come alive also. These unexpected, GOOD STUFF MOMENTS, is where the creativity of your wedding day photography, lives.

Not every wedding is the same, but these are the moments I like to hunt down (you can see there is ALOT to do!), and will perhaps help you focus your minds on what photographs you want to have as part of your family heritage albums.
